“At 84 yrs, my mother fell and broke her neck (C1 & C2). My father, almost 94 yrs, couldn’t manage with her acute home care needs alone. My brother arrived first to assist. He initially called Great Lakes Home Care which was recommended by her PCP. He explained in detail what services were needed: aide to assist with bathing as soon as possible, physical therapy and occupational therapy. They came and admitted my mother into their program promptly. After that, we didn’t hear back from them for 5 (five) days, despite an inquiry. She never received any services, and no bath was provided following her return from the hospital as we had requested. This lack of care prompted us to dismiss Great Lakes and call Home Services Unlimited (HSU). They have been outstanding, and all of mom’s needs were met promptly and efficiently. Tamera, RN was phenomenal, professional, thorough and astute . She performed head to toe assessment, pain assessment, neurological checks, memory checks, safety checks and continued to alter my mother’s plan of care according to her personal needs and progress. Our family couldn’t be happier with the care provided by Home Services Unlimited. We are especially grateful to Tamera, RN for going above and beyond for every visit. She was able to infer what my mother and father needed, and helped them to adjust their lifestyle accordingly to maintain safe practices in every day life.
